Destination Wedding Videography in Stellenbosch South Africa

Even just landing in Cape Town is magical. Seeing the Table Mountain and the Lion Head peak towering above the ocean takes your breath away. This was the very first time of Dolcevita Wedding Cinema in South Africa. My very first time actually. Cape Town is a delightful, human-sized city. Its thousand-colors houses, the sounds along the streets, the wine and the food and the bluest sky I’ve ever seen made me fall in love instantly.
In this particular setting we found inspiration for the wedding of Yolanda and Francois.

This friendly and loving couple chose South Africa because it is the motherland of Francois and abviously for its beauty. Precisely the choice of location and venue fell to Molen Vliet Vinyards, a beautiful colonial-style winery in Stellenbosch, a small town one hour outside Cape Town immersed in the hills and vineyards of excellent Shiraz and Cabernet. I would say delicious!
Molen Vliet is a venue of many white buildings with straw roofs: the hosts rooms, the restaurant and ballroom, the suite rooms where the bride and groom get prepared and where have done the typical Chinese tea ceremony later.

In the main vineyard there is a small area used as the ceremony place, where the floral designer Fleur le Cordeur set up the altar with orchids and white peonies. The glance was majestic.
Everything went in an excellent way, groomsmen, bridesmades and parents of the couple were friendly and collaborative. Unfortunately at that time COVID-19 had already hit some Asian countries and many of the bride’s relatives and friends were unable to attend the wedding. But hopefully just in time, before the global lockdown …
We also met for the first time Gavin Casey, a talented local wedding photographer and Anne Mann, one of the best wedding planner in the Cape area, who gave us help and support.

As a destination wedding videographer I considered it as a fantastic experience and an great opportunity to visit a country where I had never been before. Being a wedding videographer, working in the destination wedding industry is not a job like any other but a passion that sometimes pushes you to travel 10,000 kilometers to film an event.
South Africa, I really hope to see you again soon!

How can I help you?
