Their wedding festivities began with a vibrant welcome party at the iconic Grand Hotel Tremezzo (GHT). Although the event had to be moved indoors due to rain, it retained all the Mediterranean charm with its explosion of yellows, pinks, and greens. The tables were adorned with colorful hand-painted dishes and stunning floral arrangements, embodying the spirit of an authentic Italian celebration.

On the wedding day, Katie and Ian prepared for their big moment in the luxurious suite at GHT. Katie looked absolutely stunning in her Monique Lhuillier bridal gown, a masterpiece of elegance and timeless beauty. Their first look took place at the historic Villa Carlotta, where we captured intimate portraits against the backdrop of its exquisite frescoed walls. The romance and grandeur of this setting made for unforgettable wedding cinematography.

Following the portraits, the couple embarked on classic Venetian boats to their wedding venue— the legendary Villa del Balbianello. This breathtaking villa, nestled on the shores of Lake Como, set the stage for an emotional and picturesque ceremony, followed by a luxurious reception. The celebration was further elevated by a spectacular entertainment lineup. The first dance and cake cutting were accompanied by a mesmerizing performance featuring talented tenors and a singer from Apollo Live Music, who traveled from London for this special occasion.

Donna and Ravi’s wedding on the stunning Lake Como was nothing short of magical. Their special day unfolded in two of the most beautiful villas the region has to offer, blending Western and Persian traditions in a celebration full of love, elegance, and charm. It was a true testament to the beauty of destination weddings, captured perfectly through the art of wedding cinematography.

The day began at the elegant Villa Flori in Cernobbio, where both Donna and Ravi prepared for the ceremony. The atmosphere was filled with anticipation and excitement, as the couple got ready surrounded by their closest family and friends. Villa Flori, with its breathtaking views of the lake and timeless interiors, provided the perfect backdrop for these intimate moments — a dream setting for any wedding cinematographer in Lake Como.

The ceremony took place at the enchanting Villa Pizzo, a historic gem nestled along the shores of Lake Como. The couple exchanged their vows on the villa’s grand ancient terrace, a place steeped in history and romance. The ceremony itself was a beautiful fusion of cultures — part Western symbolic, part Persian ritual — reflecting the rich heritage and deep bond between Donna and Ravi. Following the heartfelt ceremony, guests were treated to a lavish dinner under a beautifully adorned marquee, masterfully curated by the exceptional wedding planner, My Lake Como Wedding. As the night progressed, the celebrations continued with the iconic champagne fountain, a dazzling centerpiece that added a touch of glamour to the evening. Wedding Cinematographer Chateau de Varenne Burgundy France

Burgundy is a land of fine wines, historic manors and delicious cuisine. It is located in Northern-East France, a couple of hours’ drive from Paris and its main city is Dijon (yes, the city of the mustard!!).

In this beautiful land is Chateau de Varenne, the venue chosen by Katrina and Guillaume for their wedding.

Katrina and Guillaume is a French-Chinese couple who lives and works in Dubai and have decided to celebrate their “Western” wedding in the groom’s homeland.

It’s June, the temperature is pleasant and the lavender field behind the manor is flowered and colourful. Perfect for wedding couple portraits and also for setting up a romantic wedding table with crystal chandeliers.

The interiors of the manor are classic but with modern details. The large rooms are excellent for bride and groom getting ready. Guillaime toasted with her closest friends with a bottle of Cognac and Katrina, after writing her wedding vows, had a few moments of fun with her bridesmaids.

The wedding ceremony was held in the shade of a huge tree in the front garden of the villa and the bride’s walk towards the aisle was spectacular and breathtaking. I have filmed several weddings in France, especially in Paris, but this was the first time the wedding cake was a traditional French one, the legendary croquembouche!

I love France. Its food and wine but also the beautiful cities. For me it is always a great pleasure to be called as a wedding cinematographer to film a wedding in this country. I enjoy hanging around looking for interesting details and “postcard” images to include in the wedding film and also I always find very stimulating to deal with different cultures and with wedding vendors from other countries. It’s what I love the most when I go to a destination wedding.

Destination Wedding Cinematographer in Lake Como Italy

The beauty of Briana Daughtry immediately stands out, in fact she is not just an ordinary girl but rather Miss Texas 2019. Together with Alexander they decided to get married with a small and intimate wedding – probably not as small as his father thought 😉 – in Italy, in one of the most famous destination wedding location in the world, Lake Como. The wedding was scheduled in October, when the rush of the wedding season is going to slow down and you can experience the genuine Lake Como. The autumn foliage and the foggy atmosphere of the lake gave pastel colors and fairytale vibes. Every frames is an incredibly romantic watercolor painting.

The touch of an artist was given by the wedding planner Gemma of My Lake Como Wedding choosing the colors of the flowers, made by the artistic touch of Il Profumo dei Fiori, from the bride’s bouquet to the decorations of the ceremony, with the warm and burnt colors of the autumn leaves.

Even the wedding table set up at Villa Balbianello, where the ceremony took place under the famous and beautiful Loggia Durini, was decorated with a prevalence of shades of garnet red. In the same Loggia Durini they had the cake cutting with the of the tenors which always made the atmosphere magically “Italian”.

The preparations were at Grand Hotel Tremezzo, which with its elegance and classy suites is always a perfect set for a wedding video and for the shooting of the bride and groom preparations.

The package chosen by the bride and groom was the Amarcord Film Package, which included the welcome dinner at the Il Crotto dei Platani restaurant. Included in the film package was the optional drone service as well, operated by a high qualified third-shooter with a cinematic-camera drone.

Two days of celebration, glamour, toasts and many emotions, which will be remembered for a lifetime.

Lake Como Destination Wedding Cinematographer

As a Lake Como wedding videographer, I am grateful to be able to tell touching stories like Simone and Grace’s one, whom after two years of pandemic and two postponed weddings has finally achieved their bigger dream, getting married on Lake Com.

Simone is an Italian guy who, like many others, went to study in the United States. There he met Grace and, like his father says in his speech, immediately fell in love with her. Many years later, here they are husband and wife on the shores of the enchanting Lake Como. Theirs was not just a wedding but a three-day event, as a special occasion to bring and celebrate together with friends and families.

These three days started with an elegant party boat on the lake, with music, dancing and good Italian food. The following day the event continued with a rehearsal party at Villa Geno, in the city of Como, with the arrival of the bride and groom on two Venetian boats.

Colorful flowers, aromatic plants and velvet sofas furnished the villa and the open bar helped create a convivial and relaxed atmosphere. Grace looked stunning in her flower dress.

And finally comes the big day! The bride and groom’s preparations took place at Villa Flori in Cernobbio where you can enjoy a beautiful view of Como and the lake. An exciting first look in the gardens of the villa and then a ride on the Riva boat, for a classic, yet classy photo shooting on Lake Como, together with Bottega53.

The wedding ceremony and the reception were set in Villa Pizzo, probably one of my favorite venues on Lake Como, for the beautiful ballroom and terrace on the lake for the ceremony, with the ancient staircase from where bridesmaids, groomsmen , bride and groom go down the aisle.

Finally, a trio of tenors popped-up during the cutting of the cake, surprising the bride and groom and their guests. Once again Gemma from My Lake Como Wedding has done a wonderful job of planning and design.

Once again Lake Como has been able to excite and surprise with its beauty and charm. And I believe that once again Dolcevita Wedding Cinema had the opportunity to tell a genuine love story with a wedding video. As usual Italy, my beloved motherland, offers breathtaking and romantic sceneries for a destination wedding cinematographer.

Destination Wedding Cinematographer in Hummingbird Nest Ranch California

Like many others in 2020, Jennifer and James’ wedding has also been postponed for 2 years due to the pandemic. In the meantime they got married with a civil ceremony and a beautiful baby girl was born.

And so, this event was not just a wedding party, but an opportunity to celebrate their love together with friends and families, remember and honor their origins (Bride and Groom‘s families have Korean heritage and James grew up in Hawaii – this explains the “lei” garlands) and also to thank everyone for being close to them in these two years.

The wedding location was in Simi Valley, about an hour’s drive north of the city of Los Angeles. It’s surrounded by burnt sienna rocky hills and cactus plants with strong reminiscent of the sets of many Hollywood old wild west movies. The wedding venue is Hummingbird Nest Ranch, an old Spanish-style racehorse ranch. Truly an out of this world and peaceful place.

The wedding design by the wedding planner Ashley Sun of CCL WEDDINGS is minimal and elegant. For the ceremony place and the dinner tables the main decoration were candles (I would say hundreds of candles!) in glass jars that create a warm, magical and intimate environment. On the Bride and Groom’s table a cascade of magnificent red roses.

For the wedding party there was no lack of food and drink: open bars, ice cream and boba (bubble tea) kiosk, even the IN & OUT truck that provided its famous delicious burgers. What could I say more…Filming a wedding in South California is always a great pleasure. The mild weather, friendly vendors and colleagues, customers and guests always respectful, cheerful and willing to party. What’s better for a destination wedding cinematographer? 🙂 Can’t wait to see you again California!

Destination Wedding Cinematographer in Los Angeles California Hotel Bel Air

After two years of postponement I flew to the City of Angels for the wedding of Isabel and Ben, an extraordinary couple who have helped and supported me through these difficult Covid moments to find a new date. And finally it has arrived!

Isabel and Ben have chosen a historic and glamorous venue, the Hotel Bel-Air, where over the years it has been frequented by Hollywood stars and VIPs and where it has also been the set for several films. The palm trees, the swimming pool (also frequented by Marylin Monroe!), The pink walls of the Hispanic-style buildings make it a place of great charm.

The elegan wedding design, with florals and details in white, crystal and wood, was designed and planned by Jeannie Yong Savage of Details Details while the tables and decors were about The Nameless Production.

Isabel wore a fantastic mermaid bridal dress by designer Ryan Patroso for couple portraits and bridal party, the first look and the ceremony, while for the first dance (or last dance as they call it in the US!) She wore a transparent and glamorous dress by Berta.

For me, as I think for every destination wedding cinematographer on earth, being able to work in luxury venues such as the Bel-Air Hotel, with renowned wedding planners, great wedding professionals such as the Spanish photographers La Dichosa, is always a great pleasure and an honor.

This wedding was also an opportunity to use the new Sony cameras for the first time and record at the amazing quality of 4K 10bit 4: 2: 2 editing the final wedding film with a brand new color grading, brighter and with a beautiful and natural skin tones. I know the technical details are boring but I assure you that when you watch your wedding video at home on a 4K 60 “TV you’ll be blown away! 🙂

Wedding Videographer in Villa Erba Cernobbio

Lake Como is a unique place. any wedding photographer and wedding videographer dream of having an elegant, luxury wedding in one of the historic villas on the shores of this lake so dear to exclusive tourists and Hollywood’s stars. However, there are few places that can give you that sense of magic like Villa Erba in Cernobbio. This venue was a set of various movies and commercials and a milestone of the Lake Como landscape. And also it has hosted some of the best weddings of all times.

Personally I think it has the most beautiful ballroom in all of Lake Como and I would say of all of the place I had the chance to work in …. but it is only the opinion of a destination wedding videographer in love with this place and its lights and background.

Jaclyn and Jason are a young and beautiful couple from Texas; after have ad their preps in Villa d’Este they chose Villa Erba as the “set” for the most important day of their lives. I can say once again, Gemma of My Lake Como Wedding did an excellent wedding planning job, as did the florists Figli dei Fiori Como and the light & sound guys of Blunotte Events. An event that was like a dream and where for one day I felt like the director of a dolcevita’s movie with handsome guys in black tuxedo and beautiful girls in long dress. Elegant and expensive speedboats on the background of an Italian postcard landscape. This it what means getting married on Lake Como and this wedding video is the result of my Italian passion for art, poetry and beauty.

Every event, every day of my life I use my eyes and my cameras to tell the beauty. A love story, unique and unrepeatable.
