ETERNA: A Timeless Tribute to Rome and Bridal Elegance

For more than seventy years, Elvira Gramano has represented the essence of Italian bridal craftsmanship. Passed down through generations of the Gramano family, the historic Roman maison continues to preserve a unique heritage of elegance, artistry, and dedication. Every gown is still meticulously handcrafted within the brand’s atelier in Rome, where tradition and innovation come together to create dresses that celebrate beauty in its most authentic form.

The new Collection ’26 campaign, titled ETERNA, is a heartfelt tribute to Rome, the Eternal City that has inspired the brand since its foundation. Just like the city itself, the gowns embody timeless elegance, refined sophistication, and enduring beauty. Characterized by exquisite tailoring, delicate details, and impeccable craftsmanship, each creation is designed to transcend trends and accompany brides through one of the most meaningful moments of their lives.

To visually express this connection between the collection and its birthplace, we chose one of Rome’s most iconic locations as the setting for the campaign: the majestic staircase of Trinità dei Monti, overlooking Piazza di Spagna. Few places capture the spirit of Rome as powerfully as this historic landmark, where centuries of art, culture, and beauty converge.

The production began before sunrise. We arrived on location at 6:30 a.m., hoping to take advantage of the quiet atmosphere before the city awoke. However, while the streets were relatively empty at dawn, the most beautiful natural light arrived closer to 8:00 a.m. By then, tourists had already started filling the square. Rather than seeing this as a challenge, we embraced the living energy of Rome, allowing the campaign to unfold amid the authentic rhythm of one of the world’s most visited destinations.

ETERNA also marks our second collaboration with Elvira Gramano. Our first project together, created approximately two years ago on the shores of Lake Como, explored a different but equally evocative vision of bridal elegance. This new campaign returns to the brand’s roots, celebrating the city that has shaped its identity for generations.

The result is a collection of images and films that honor both the timeless beauty of Rome and the enduring craftsmanship of Elvira Gramano—two stories of elegance that continue to inspire, generation after generation.

DESTINATION WEDDING FILMAKER PHUKET THAILAND

Jessica and Adrian’s Wedding at Paresa Resort in Phuket was the kind of day that reminds you why Destination Wedding stories are so special to film. Traveling all the way from Hong Kong to Thailand, they chose a place that instantly slows everything down, a terrace at Paresa Resort overlooking the Andaman Sea, surrounded by a tropical atmosphere that felt both intimate and open at the same time.

As a Filmmaker, what stands out in weddings like this isn’t just the view, even though Phuket definitely delivers, but how the couple connects within it. Jessica and Adrien kept things simple and personal, no unnecessary distractions, just real moments, close friends, and a setting that naturally elevated everything.

Thanks to the meticulous and creative planning work of Ilaire from Wedding Boutique Phuke, the day moved effortlessly. The ceremony took place with the ocean in the background, soft pink tones blending with the light and the sea. Later, the Cocktail Party brought a more relaxed energy, people gathering, talking, laughing, enjoying the warm air as the sun dropped behind the horizon. One of those small but memorable details, instead of a traditional cake, they went for Tiramisù Glasses Cake, which fit perfectly with the laid-back but thoughtful vibe of the day.

From a Wedding Videography perspective, this is exactly the kind of environment that allows for an editorial approach without forcing anything. Natural light, honest interactions, and letting moments unfold without interruption. The goal is never to stage too much, but to observe and translate the atmosphere into something that feels true when you watch it back.

This wedding in Thailand wasn’t about big gestures, it was about presence. This lovely newlyweds couple created a space where everything felt genuine, and that’s what makes their story worth telling.

Katie and Ian’s breathtaking two-day wedding in Lake Como was a true celebration of love, elegance, and Italian charm. As a Lake Como wedding cinematographer, capturing every magical moment of their destination wedding was an absolute pleasure.

Their wedding festivities began with a vibrant welcome party at the iconic Grand Hotel Tremezzo (GHT). Although the event had to be moved indoors due to rain, it retained all the Mediterranean charm with its explosion of yellows, pinks, and greens. The tables were adorned with colorful hand-painted dishes and stunning floral arrangements, embodying the spirit of an authentic Italian celebration.

On the wedding day, Katie and Ian prepared for their big moment in the luxurious suite at GHT. Katie looked absolutely stunning in her Monique Lhuillier bridal gown, a masterpiece of elegance and timeless beauty. Their first look took place at the historic Villa Carlotta, where we captured intimate portraits against the backdrop of its exquisite frescoed walls. Nestled on the enchanting shores of Lake Como, Villa del Grumello provided the perfect backdrop for this styled wedding shoot, capturing the essence of 1920s glamour. This project was a beautiful collaboration, with a talented team bringing together their artistry to craft a vision of vintage elegance.

The shoot featured exquisite bridal gowns from the Elvira Gramano collection in Rome. Each piece evoked the charm of the Roaring Twenties, with delicate lace, intricate beadwork, and flowing silhouettes. These gowns, paired with vintage-inspired accessories, seamlessly blended with the warm, golden hues of late autumn.

To enhance the nostalgic mood, I used a black mist filter during filming, lending a soft, dreamlike quality to the footage. The filter diffused the light, highlighting the natural beauty of the models and the serene surroundings of the villa.

The team behind the shoot was equally exceptional. Photographer Francesco Silvaggio perfectly complemented my cinematic approach, capturing still moments of the day. The event was organized by wedding planner Patrizia Saraga from Como in Style, whose meticulous attention to detail ensured every aspect reflected our theme. Hair and makeup artists Olga and Irina created stunning, era-appropriate looks for the models, Asia and Valeria, enhancing their natural beauty with vintage flair.

Content creator Manuela, who collaborates with Elvira Gramano and Alquimia Studio 8, added her unique touch to the project, weaving modern storytelling into this timeless concept.

The result is a visual journey through time, showcasing the romance and glamour of a romantic era, set against one of Italy’s most iconic landscapes. Villa del Grumello, with its historic charm and breathtaking views, proved to be the ultimate muse for this unforgettable styled wedding video.

As the chosen storyteller capturing every frame of their love story, it’s my pleasure to unfold the chapters of Marisa and Tommy’s unforgettable wedding weekend.

Day 1: A Floating Prelude – The Boat Welcome Party
The festivities began with a dreamy boat welcome party, where the couple and their guests embarked on a scenic voyage along Lake Como. Wedding Cinematographer Chateau de Varenne Burgundy France

Burgundy is a land of fine wines, historic manors and delicious cuisine. It is located in Northern-East France, a couple of hours’ drive from Paris and its main city is Dijon (yes, the city of the mustard!!).

In this beautiful land is Chateau de Varenne, the venue chosen by Katrina and Guillaume for their wedding.

Katrina and Guillaume is a French-Chinese couple who lives and works in Dubai and have decided to celebrate their “Western” wedding in the groom’s homeland.

It’s June, the temperature is pleasant and the lavender field behind the manor is flowered and colourful. Perfect for wedding couple portraits and also for setting up a romantic wedding table with crystal chandeliers.

The interiors of the manor are classic but with modern details. The large rooms are excellent for bride and groom getting ready. Guillaime toasted with her closest friends with a bottle of Cognac and Katrina, after writing her wedding vows, had a few moments of fun with her bridesmaids.

The wedding ceremony was held in the shade of a huge tree in the front garden of the villa and the bride’s walk towards the aisle was spectacular and breathtaking. I have filmed several weddings in France, especially in Paris, but this was the first time the wedding cake was a traditional French one, the legendary croquembouche!

I love France. Its food and wine but also the beautiful cities. For me it is always a great pleasure to be called as a wedding cinematographer to film a wedding in this country. I enjoy hanging around looking for interesting details and “postcard” images to include in the wedding film and also I always find very stimulating to deal with different cultures and with wedding vendors from other countries. It’s what I love the most when I go to a destination wedding.
