ETERNA: A Timeless Tribute to Rome and Bridal Elegance

For more than seventy years, Elvira Gramano has represented the essence of Italian bridal craftsmanship. Passed down through generations of the Gramano family, the historic Roman maison continues to preserve a unique heritage of elegance, artistry, and dedication. Every gown is still meticulously handcrafted within the brand’s atelier in Rome, where tradition and innovation come together to create dresses that celebrate beauty in its most authentic form.

The new Collection ’26 campaign, titled ETERNA, is a heartfelt tribute to Rome, the Eternal City that has inspired the brand since its foundation. Just like the city itself, the gowns embody timeless elegance, refined sophistication, and enduring beauty. Characterized by exquisite tailoring, delicate details, and impeccable craftsmanship, each creation is designed to transcend trends and accompany brides through one of the most meaningful moments of their lives.

To visually express this connection between the collection and its birthplace, we chose one of Rome’s most iconic locations as the setting for the campaign: the majestic staircase of Trinità dei Monti, overlooking Piazza di Spagna. Few places capture the spirit of Rome as powerfully as this historic landmark, where centuries of art, culture, and beauty converge.

The production began before sunrise. We arrived on location at 6:30 a.m., hoping to take advantage of the quiet atmosphere before the city awoke. However, while the streets were relatively empty at dawn, the most beautiful natural light arrived closer to 8:00 a.m. By then, tourists had already started filling the square. Rather than seeing this as a challenge, we embraced the living energy of Rome, allowing the campaign to unfold amid the authentic rhythm of one of the world’s most visited destinations.

ETERNA also marks our second collaboration with Elvira Gramano. Our first project together, created approximately two years ago on the shores of Lake Como, explored a different but equally evocative vision of bridal elegance. This new campaign returns to the brand’s roots, celebrating the city that has shaped its identity for generations.

The result is a collection of images and films that honor both the timeless beauty of Rome and the enduring craftsmanship of Elvira Gramano—two stories of elegance that continue to inspire, generation after generation.

Lake Como Wedding Videographer for Elvira Gramano bridal dresses

Nestled on the enchanting shores of Lake Como, Villa del Grumello provided the perfect backdrop for this styled wedding shoot, capturing the essence of 1920s glamour. This project was a beautiful collaboration, with a talented team bringing together their artistry to craft a vision of vintage elegance.

The shoot featured exquisite bridal gowns from the Elvira Gramano collection in Rome. Each piece evoked the charm of the Roaring Twenties, with delicate lace, intricate beadwork, and flowing silhouettes. These gowns, paired with vintage-inspired accessories, seamlessly blended with the warm, golden hues of late autumn.

To enhance the nostalgic mood, I used a black mist filter during filming, lending a soft, dreamlike quality to the footage. The filter diffused the light, highlighting the natural beauty of the models and the serene surroundings of the villa.

The team behind the shoot was equally exceptional. Photographer Francesco Silvaggio perfectly complemented my cinematic approach, capturing still moments of the day. The event was organized by wedding planner Patrizia Saraga from Como in Style, whose meticulous attention to detail ensured every aspect reflected our theme. Hair and makeup artists Olga and Irina created stunning, era-appropriate looks for the models, Asia and Valeria, enhancing their natural beauty with vintage flair.

Content creator Manuela, who collaborates with Elvira Gramano and Alquimia Studio 8, added her unique touch to the project, weaving modern storytelling into this timeless concept.

The result is a visual journey through time, showcasing the romance and glamour of a romantic era, set against one of Italy’s most iconic landscapes. Villa del Grumello, with its historic charm and breathtaking views, proved to be the ultimate muse for this unforgettable styled wedding video.

The HanBok Fashion Video in Paris

My talented American colleague and close friend Haseok Chunk, who works as a photographer in the wedding industry, during a Korean BBQ last fall when I was visiting Manhattan, asked me if I wanted to make the video for a line of traditional Korean clothing, the Hanbok, revisited in a glamorous and modern style, by a talented fashion designer from New York. In Paris. In January!! Why not, I answered promptly….and in any case in Paris in January there is the perfect weather for a fashion shooting 🙂 And btw there will also be the Fashion Week so….my answer is absolutely yes!

And so we met again a few months later, in Paris, in front of a pizza, to brief the shooting and review the model’s book. The staff is full, Chung will take care of the art direction, while Ki will be the photographer. Then we have the make up artist, two assistants and of course the fashion designer of The HanBok. I’m the only professional not Korean, but I’m Italian and everyone loves us 😉

The location is the arcades and the exterior of the Louvre museum. The day is overcast and grey, and obviously very cold, in perfect Parisian style, but the light is perfect for the romantic mood and the model’s pearly skin is too. The dresses are surprising, minimal but very elegant and glamorous at the same time. It’s a pleasure to watch them and even more to shoot them. Each frame is beautiful and I am very satisfied with the work. Sure, it’s not a wedding styled one, although some of those dresses can also be wedding dresses for a Korean bride. But I like the work we’ve done and I’ve decided to also publish it on my website dedicated to wedding videos. Ultimately it is always about grace and beauty.

Destination wedding videographer in New York City

This year has been a very rewarding year professionally. After two years of stop due to the pandemic, we finally return to work, but above all to do “special” and interesting things. And I, as a wedding videographer, am crazy about unconventional things!

This “special” thing is one of those that probably happens once in a lifetime and can’t believe it’s happened to me. To Dolcevita Wedding Cinema.

Marlyn and Gerry got married in September in Villa Cimbrone Ravello, on the Amalfi Coast, Italy. A beautiful and intimate wedding plus a gorgeus welcome dinner at Belmond Caruso. Those who follow my business page on Instagram will surely have seen the video teaser of these 2 extraordinary guys. Well, during a chat on the wedding day Gerry told me that there would also be a second event, a very intimate Chinese wedding, that would take place a few months later in New York City.

And so some weeks later I received a message from Gerry asking us to fly to NYC to film this second wedding as well. Of course boss!!!! We can’t wait to see the Big Apple again! And so it was. In November we were in Manhattan ready for this exciting job.

Trying to plan a schedule, we decided to split the work into two days. On the first day, with a beautiful autumn sunny day with colorful Indian Summer foliage, we shot the couple portraits in Central Park in the morning and later in Dumbo, Brooklyn, with the magnificent view of the Manhattan skyline at sunset.

The wedding day (the weather forecast said it would be rainy) we dedicated our time to the bride and groom’s preparations, which were held in a suite of The Plaza and then to the wedding ceremony on the roof of 620 Loft & Gardens, on 5th Avenue, with the unusual view of San Patrick’s cathedral. The ceremony was very simple and minimal by decision of the couple, celebrated by the Pastor and also personal friend of Gerry.

And so the rain finally came. A tropical rain! A little rest, the video interviews with the newlyweds at The Plaza (shhht don’t tell anyone!), a local newyorker hotdog because we were hungry … and because it was very nice to be filmed!

And then off to The Queens where they made a Chinese reception at the New Mulan restaurant. By the way, I absolutely loved the Lion Dance! And this is the story of Marlyn and Gerry’s 2-weddings and how they became so much more than just customers. I would say friends!

What else to add. What a great experience. How many opportunities to see and understand the world and its people that our job as a destination wedding videographer offers us. I am grateful every day for that!

It was around midnight about two months ago when Benny, a handsome guy with Dominican heritage, in a Skype call from New Jersey, told me exactly these words “I want to make the proposal to my girlfriend. And I want to do it on a boat, in Santorini. I like your style and I’d like you to film our engagement but I don’t know exactly how to do it and how to explain it to Josephine. Could you help me? ”
“Seriously, she doesn’t know anything? Doesn’t she really suspect something?”
“No, really!”
Well, the fact that everything was real make the event even more interesting, God knows how much I love genuine emotions, but I was aware that some small risk could be after the corner, because in a situation like that, even if you planned everything as best as you can , something can go wrong anyway.
In the following days I tried to put down a draft timeline that made everything safer and “more comfortable” for everyone, when Benny, completely ignoring my suggestions, announced me “I’ve booked a private boat, completely for us, so cool… I wanna make the proposal at sunrise. A shuttle is gonna pick us up at our hotel at 5:30 AM!”
“Whaaat ??” I replied “Everyone goes to Santorini for its breathtaking sunsets, no one is interested in sunrises in Santorini!”
Nothing to do with it, Benny seemed too excited about his crazy idea to change his mind. So, two months later, exactly at 5.30 in the morning, we were with red eyes in front of Cavo Tagoo, one of the most beautiful resorts of Imerovigli, heading for the small port of Vlichada, where a catamaran was waiting for us.
I have to tell you, I’m generally optimistic when I have to face difficult situations shooting weddings or engagements or couple shots, but in that moment, while the boat was shaken by the waves and the wind was heading East in complete darkness, and the expression of disappointment grew on Josephine’s face, I had a moment of real fear.
At this point you will wonder how it went at the end. Probably without happy ending I wouldn’t be here writing …
Shortly after sunrise Benny went down on his knee in front of his beloved. Everything went perfectly. Even the wind was gentle, calming down at that moment. And she said YES with tears of joy finally appeared on Josephine’s face.
The rest of the day is already history. Shooting continued on Vlichada beach, towards Eros beach, where the magnificent friable rock cliffs merge with the black volcanic sand of the beach. And at the and of the day we could shoot even at sunset (remember what Santorini is famous for?) from the cliff of The Heart of Santorini point. Truly one of the most impressive views of the Caldera and the villages of Thira and Oia.
What I have to say? Thanks to Benny, to his stubborn romanticism and courage (despite of everything, his idea was winning!) and thanks to Josephine’s patience. After this “test” we can say that it’s TRUE LOVE! 🙂
I’m sure this engagement film will be great. Because Santorini Island is always breathtaking, because Benny and Josephine are two good looking guys, and why not, because I’m perhaps a good videographer. But overall because the love and emotions of these two guys in love have been sincere.

I have to be honest, when I received an email from Refinery29 in November 2018, I really had no idea who they were. I know it sounds weird but it is! I’m definetely not a TV fan…Anyway, they were very impressed by the video of the wedding in Phuket of these two guys and found interesting the fact she has Filipino heritage and he has Vietnamese as they point the attention on mixed couple and ethnic weddings, so for this reason they asked me for the footage (and obviously the permit of mine and the couple) with which they wanted to shoot an episode of World Wide Wed right about their story.
Although initially I didn’t know that Refinery29 was a succesfull brand and I am usually a little cautious, I took a couple of emails with the guys (whom promptly replied “how do you not know them, they are so famous?!” Jeez I felt so dumb….) to being able to confirm our availability to Refinery29. Once again this extraordinary couple has been able to amaze me with their willingness and enthusiasm. As I bet they were more excited than me to participate! 🙂
And so ladies and gentlemen, almost five months later, here is the episode of World Wide Wed of Raquel and Tam, one of my favorite weddings and bride&groom ever and another little goal for Dolcevita Wedding Cinema.

I was working on the wedding film editing of Paulina and Peter, a nice, elegant and stilish couple from New York, who will be ready in a few weeks (so stay tuned!). I could not stop looking at those magnificent images of the bride dressed in the traditional Chinese dress for the tea ceremony, during the pre-wedding. The colors of the dress, the warm light that came through the windows, the beauty of Villa Cora in Florence. A magical atmosphere. A dream wedding, elegant in every single detail and these two guys of a breathtaking beauty. I had already filmed several tea ceremonies, but this time the bride chose the traditional Chinese dress, something out of this world definitely! Filming it was a great emotion and through the lens I was seeing images that recall me memories of an ancient and exotic world. Surely one of most beautiful destination wedding that I’ve ever filmed, I’m sure the final result will be astonishing.
Thanks also to all the Italian team that worked in this wedding, from the wedding planner, to the florists and the photographer; every single person has worked together to get the best!
